Boooo !

Halloween is somewhat dear to my heart since I am a Halloween babe. I was born and raised in Germany and during my childhood my birthday was always just an ordinary day, for in Germany there was no Halloween. Then, when I turned 18, I celebrated my birthday in Manhattan, Kansas. Wow, that was so cool, because out of nowhere my birthday became a 'special day'. I've been in the US for over 33 years now and always enjoy my 'Halloween' Birthday.

Fall is in full swing !

Summer is gone now and Fall is in full swing here in Salt lake City. The night temperatures are rapidly dropping near freezing and our lawn is getting covered with leaves. I've hesitantly started to accept this change - as I do every year - and the annuals are starting to come out, the flower pots and summer yard art is being stowed away in our beautiful new garden shed we build this year, and all the fall decorations have been placed around the yard and inside our house to celebrate the seasonal change.
